Courtesy Appointments

Faculty members interested in receiving a courtesy appointment from the CSE Department, in order to oversee CSE PhD students and others, can contact the CSE Graduate Coordinator for more details.

CSE PhD students contemplating a rotation with a faculty from the Medical School with a courtesy appointment in CSE should first ensure a formal commitment on the part of that faculty stating that, if the faculty eventually decides to match with the student, they will then reimburse the CSE department for the cost of the student's stipend up to and until they start supporting the student on their own grants. An email to that effect from the faculty is sufficient.
